Hiking Mountain Warning
Well...I climbed a mountain for the first time on Sunday. I can definitely say I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was by far the most difficult hike I have ever done in my life but it was so worth it once we got to the top. Actually the views on the trails up the mountain were quite lovely as well! The whole trail is pretty much a lush green rainforest. It was so beautiful! The whole trip took about 2.5-3 hours but we made it!! Fun Fact...the elevation of the mountain is 3,793 feet and its actually a volcanic plug

TECH N9NE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
Sooo last Wednesday me and Cass went to a TECH N9NE concert with some friends! Needless to say it was a night I will never forget. Possibly one of the best nights of my entire life so far. (I know I have had a few of those while in Australia...but this one was really the best.) Like...it may be hard for my wedding day to top this. lol!
It started off as any normal concert then Cassie and I decided it would be a good idea to make our way to the front row. Let me tell you...it was the best idea. We were literally on the front row the entire show. I blew Tech a kiss and he motioned to catch the kiss with his hand. I thought that was the most wonderful thing ever (until it got better). He put on such a great show as always.
Nice view of the crowd I got when I was on some guys shoulders. lol
Krizz Kaliko was awesome too . Can't forget about him. After the show me and Cass asked one his crew members if we could go back stage and HE SAID OKAY!!!!!! We hung out backstage with Tech and Krizz Kaliko for about an hour with a few other girls. It was sooooo great. Tech was a sweetheart. We hit it off really well and he invited us back to his hotel for drinks!!!
I hung out with Tech like all night. It was SO amazing. I got to ask him so many questions. I have so much respect for him. We really had the best time together. I thought I liked him before but now I may be in love. He is one of the best rappers I have ever seen. His new album will be amazing. (I know for a fact ;)) I can't wait for it to come out. I am actually going to pay for the CD & I suggest you do too because it will be the best one yet. He is really killin it.
The view from his hotel room was absolutely stunning. We sat on the balcony and sipped his famous drink KC Tea. A delightful mixture of Hennessy, Sprite, and lemon! I never would have guessed in a million years that I would get to share one of his famous cocktails with him personally.
He told me I have a nice smile. I think that is the most wonderful complement ever. Probably because it came from one of my favorite rappers. What a crazy night. He even gave me his phone number and is taking me out next time he's in Dallas. OMG. Like is this real life??? I can't wait to see him again. I feel like a little schoolgirl with a first crush. hah. Sorry mom :p xoxo tech. Ill love you forever & always.
Oh yeah...he also gave me this SWEET jersey!! Is it wired that I don't want to wash it because it smells like him? Dont judge me.

Future Fest
Everything has been so great these past few weeks in brisbane. Me and Cass went to the most amazing music festival last weekend. It was by far one of the best festivals I have ever been to and that says a lot. Its a magical place with people dancing, carnival rides, booze, etc. I was happy to see some really amazing artists.
We got to the festival around 2:30 and got to see Yellow Claw then DARUDE!!! He was so amazing. I would have never expected to be able to see that DJ but it was absolutely wonderful! Me and cass both got on some guys shoulders during one of his most famous songs, Sandstorm. It was so cool hearing that track in person.

After that we saw Sigma, Timmy Trumpet, & Hilltop Hoods which is a famous Australian hip hop artist so that was awesome.
Then I got to see Carnage for the second time and he was great as usual. His beats just go so hard. I love it.
After that we saw Example, Martin Garrix, and Afrojack! Afrojack really killed it. I would love to see him again.
Last but not least AVICII!!! He was the best DJ I have ever seen. The whole performance was just out of this world. Literally I thought I was going to lose my mind with how amainzg it was. He really knows what he is doing. I would definitely recommend seeing him if you have the change. I know I will be seeing him the next chance I get. What an amazing day.
And I am so happy I got to share that experience with Cass. It would not have been the same without her.

Stradbroke Island
Well this weekend we visited heaven on earth. It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen!!! We left Brisbane city early Saturday morning and took a ferry ride over to Stradbroke Island.
We checked into our hostel and spent the rest of the day on the beach!
My tan is coming along quite nicely, I must say. We had some delicious fish and chips for dinner at this really nice cafe overlooking the sea. Then we went to the bar for a bit and headed back down the beach to our hostel. We could actually see the stars out on the beach at night and that was quite lovely as well.
We woke up pretty early and hopped on the bus to the lookout. The views were stunning.
We spent the day on the beach then enjoyed some more fish and chips for lunch. What a wonderful vacation from our vacation. I feel so lucky to have gotten to see such a beautiful place with a very beautiful friend. <3 I love you cass. xoxo

First week in Brisbane
We have been in Brisbane for a little over a week now. It has been great. We are all moved into our cute little house and our new roommates are absolutely wonderful.
Brisbane's South Bank lagoon
The other day we discovered the Roma Street Parklands. Its a beautiful little park like 10 minutes away from our new place! We saw these huge lizards just running around the park! They were so cute. We also saw some pretty big spiders and that was terrifying. I even had a nightmare about them from being so traumatized.
Then that night we went to Eat Streets markets. Its kind of like the state fair but with better food and no rides. It was sooooo good. We ate everything from grilled halloumi cheese, seafood paella, japanese pizzas, and CRONUTS!!! It was seriously life changing.
We probably gained like 10 pounds that night. But I would say it was well worth it. At least we went on a walk at the park during the day..that cancels it out right?
